Between mid-May and the end of July, the sun does not set in Kirkenes. This guided e-fatbike tour takes you out of town and into the surrounding nature during the brightest weeks of the year. Instead of riding in darkness, you cycle in steady evening daylight, with wide views across fjords, lakes, and tundra landscapes, and no sense of time pressure. Experiencing the Midnight Sun in summer is the seasonal equivalent of a Northern Lights tour in winter, a defining Arctic phenomenon that makes this region unique.
You ride electric fatbikes through forests, past lakes and mountain tops. The wide tires provide stability on uneven terrain, while the electric assist helps you climb hills and cover longer distances. Along the way, we share information about nature, local wildlife, and everyday life in the Arctic. There is also a chance of spotting wildlife such as reindeer. We stop at scenic viewpoints for refreshments before returning to Kirkenes.
