Between 15 May and 25 July, the sun does not set in Kirkenes in Northern Norway. This guided Midnight Sun e-fatbike tour takes you out of Kirkenes and into the surrounding nature during the brightest weeks of the year. Instead of riding in darkness, you cycle in steady evening daylight. This allows for extended views across fjords, lakes, and tundra landscapes, without time pressure. Experiencing the Midnight Sun in summer is the seasonal equivalent of joining a Northern Lights tour in winter — a defining Arctic phenomenon that makes this region unique.
You ride electric fat bikes on gravel roads, forest trails, and mixed terrain. The route is adapted to weather conditions and the group’s level. With electric assistance, hills are manageable and the ride remains enjoyable even for guests with average fitness.
Your guide sets a comfortable pace and shares information about Arctic nature, local wildlife, and everyday life in Sør-Varanger. We stop at a scenic location for refreshments before returning to Kirkenes.
This tour is suitable for guests who are comfortable cycling for 2–3 hours on mixed terrain. Basic cycling skills are required.
